St. Louis Jewelry Appraisals is located in a beautifully restored historic building in downtown Kirkwood, Missouri. Each appraisal is a collaborative effort by our experienced team in order to produce an accurate and professional document. St. Louis Jewelry Appraisals is a subsidiary of James Summa, Inc.
Jim is the driving force behind St. Louis Jewelry Appraisers. With 42 years of experience with jewelry and precious stones, 32 years as the proprietor of his own business, Jim brings a unique blend of knowledge, experience and the love of precious stones and jewelry to bear.
He has never rested on his laurels, always eager to grow and learn. Jim completed the GIA Diamond Course in March of 1980 as well as the GIA Colored Stone Course in August of the same year, thus qualifying him as a GIA Graduate Gemologist. He worked to become an AGS Registered Jeweler in November of 2004, an AGS Certified Gemologist in January of 2006 and an AGS Certified Gemologist Appraiser in December of 2010.
Anne is a Graduate Gemologist (GIA) and a Certified Gemologist Appraiser (AGS) with over fourteen years of experience buying, selling and appraising diamonds, colored stones and pearls. Anne is also a GIA Graduate Gemologist, an AGS Registered Jeweler, an AGS Certified Gemologist and a graduate of the GIA Diamond and GIA Colored Stone Courses.
Marsha is a Graduate Jeweler, Gemologist (GJG), earning her degrees in residence at GIA and recently earned her degree as an AGS Certified Gemologist Appraiser. Marsha is also a GIA Graduate Gemologist, an AGS Registered Jeweler, an AGS Certified Gemologist and a graduate of the GIA Diamond and GIA Colored Stone Courses. She has over a dozen years of experience in the jewelry industry in a variety of roles, from manufacturing to retail sales.
Susan brings her 23 years of jewelry experience to every appraisal as office manager. She will prepare a detailed receipt of the item(s) you are leaving with us, including photos, fees, and completion date and also proofread, print and mail (when applicable) your finished document.
